Using the Induction Cooktop
The kitchen is equipped with a Miele induction cooktop with a built-in downdraft vent.
Place an induction-compatible pan on the cooking area.
Touch the ⏻ Power button. The controls will illuminate.
Select your cooking zone and choose the desired heat level using the touch controls.
The center vent draws steam and cooking odors downward while you cook.
When finished, turn off the cooking zone and touch ⏻ to turn off the cooktop.
The cooktop heats very quickly, so we recommend starting with a lower setting and increasing the heat as needed.
Troubleshooting
Cooktop isn't heating?
Make sure your pan is induction compatible and centered over the cooking zone. The cooktop will not heat if it does not recognize the cookware.
Controls won't respond?
Make sure the control panel is clean and dry. If a lock symbol appears, the safety lock may be activated.
Cooktop is off but still showing a symbol?
This is likely the residual-heat indicator. The glass may still be hot, so allow it to cool before cleaning.
Vent continues running after cooking?
This can be normal. The ventilation system may continue briefly after cooking to clear remaining steam and odors.
